In this one time course, I will walk your child through the general process of joining the military through enlistment or commission, and what a career might look like for them once they have joined up.

In this one-time course, I will give your child a general introduction to joining the military after high school. We will discuss the following: - the recruitment process - how to set yourself up well during high school for joining the military post-graduation - the difference between enlistment and commission - the difference between active duty, the national guard, and the reserve corps. This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of each of the branches of the military, and what jobs will be available to them in each. Students will also understand the recruitment process, including the ASVAB test.
I am currently serving as a Reservist in the Coast Guard as a commissioned officer, and before that I was enlisted. As a teacher, I have counseled many students into the military. Most have joined the Army and the Marine Corps, but I've had students join all branches.
Student should have a way of taking notes for this course, however I will provide all materials necessary for this course.
