Kick reading comprehension struggles to the curb! We’ve got this! In this four week course, we will practice using tips and tricks to assist struggling readers with high-interest passages. We will focus on what to do before you read (access prior knowledge), while you are reading (active reading), and after you read (making connections). I am excited to help my students reach their reading potential! Students will be improving their reading comprehension by applying proven strategies to high-interest passages. For four weeks, I will teach students eight practical skills that will enhance their skills immediately. I am an Orton Gillingham certified instructor with an MA in Special Education. I have worked with struggling readers in the classroom and my private practice for over 15 years. I love that I get to help people develop a lifelong love of reading and newfound confidence in themselves. I believe that everyone can read when they are provided with the right toolkit. I always make sure that my students feel supported and proud of their abilities.
