I designed this yoga class to provide kids with several tools to de stress and relax especially during stressful times. Positive self talk will be used as we move through yoga poses. Physically students will work on building strength, gaining flexibility, enhancing their sense of balance, while calming their minds. They will learn ways to increase concentration and focus . This class may be challenging as we will hold the yoga postures for a set time as we repeat affirmations and move through some advanced poses.. I will teach sun salutations , 8 postures linked together to create a dynamic flow. Also strong poses such as warrior 1 and 2 Balance postures will be used as a focusing tool. Nov 1 Learn the basics of 8 postures Nov 7 breathing exercises and flow yoga Nov 14 Positive affirmation meditation will be taught #superstar Nov 21 Balance postures Breathing exercises will be taught to quiet the and and relax the body. Class will close with a meditation. All levels welcome, No previous experience in yoga or meditation however posture make be challenging for some. #superstar

Please be advised child should have ample space to exercise .
Yoga mat or non skid surface is recommended.

I am a personal trainer and group fitness teacher.
Yoga, running, and wellness are my passion!

Much of my experience comes from having owned and operated a daycare for 18 years where I taught and nurtured children from ages 2 to 12 while I raised my two boys. In my daycare,yoga , meditation, and healthy eating were taught as a daily routine.

Running is a lifestyle for me and I train for several events a year..
Many of my studies have been at Omega Institute New York of holistic studies where I received hundreds of hours in training.
I have over 50 hours in stress and trauma training.
I also have a certification In MBSR
Mindfulness-based stress reduction course by Jon Kabbit-Zinn out of UMASS medical.
I completed Kids yoga teacher training and yoga and mindfulness for kids teacher training.
Having taught at many local schools to all ages children has been a wonderful experience for me.
Yoga is a way of life, a way to express your feelings and be ok with them.
The body-mind, spirit connection is a missing part of most of our daily lives. Mindfulness and body awareness are key to my practice.
Taking care and fueling the mind is as important as taking care of the body.
My mission is to teach self-love and self-care in a fun safe environment. I want to instill tools that will last a lifetime,
Teaching yoga to me is first and foremost about drawing forth that which is already in the student.
