Class Experience
• SYLLABUS & LEARNING TARGETS• - This class will help a photographer learn the fundamental techniques used to create great portraits of people. • Week 1 / Getting Started / Learn to use (Custom White Balance) • Week 2 / Camera set up for Portraits (Portrait Shoot in Automatic Mode) • Week 3 / Subject Placement (Rule of Thirds Challenge) • Week 4 / Key Lighting & Black White (Key Light Challenge)
•Teaching Experience - Teaching film and photography classes as a full time public school fine arts teacher for over 10 years - CA. Teaching Credential / Visual & Performing Arts - Degree in Fine Arts - Masters degree in educational administration
- Tasks include multiple choice assignments used to check for understanding and review. - Photography Projects are due before the next class meeting
- Once enrolled, the student will receive an email with a gmail and google classroom account - Students must utilize their student google account to participate and submit photography projects - Synchronous lectures are taught though Zoom - www.myartsclass.com - https://pixlr.com/editor/
- Students will receive feedback after completing each photography unit - Students comfortable with public feedback will receive a real time critique during the class. - Multiple choice and short answer tasks will indicate a score however, this score is not be reflected the student's grade.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
