Class Experience

In this class we will be taking a cartoon character or video game character or any other character of the student's choice and converting into Pop Art. We will start by drawing the outline of the character followed by laying down a background color or colors. Next will will discuss half toning and add a halftone look to the image in spots. Finally we will add other designs and graphical shapes to the picture.

I have been teaching art for over 22 years.

Paper and drawing material of choice (colored pencils, markers, crayons, etc.)
Picture of the character being used for reference
If drawing digitally the device and app being used would replace the drawing materials above.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
