Storytelling is an art form that requires creativity, concentration, imagination, and good communication skills. In this class, students will learn how to tell a story using ideas that just “pop” into their heads. They will tap into their creative side and co-create a story with other students. Prompts and transition words will be provided so that everyone can participate. The teacher will model a new oral story weekly and learners will complete a graphic organizer identifying the parts...
Students will learn about the history of oral tradition, story structure, and how to tell a story.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
