In this on-going course, students will read passages designed for a first-grade level and then answer reading comprehension questions. Students will also practice reading and spelling Dolch Sight Words.
Class experience
US Grade 1
Get the popcorn popping! Students will be allowed to bring their favorite popcorn flavor to class and munch along as we read passages designed for a first-grade level. This class will focus on students learning to comprehend what they read in a fun environment. Students will read a portion of the passage, and when the teacher yells out popcorn, another student will be picked to continue reading. Each student will be given an opportunity to read out loud. Hopefully, students will become one step closer to achieving the ultimate goal of learning to comprehend what they read.
Printed out copy of the passage and a pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
