Students will learn the proper stretches and techniques to improve their gymnastics skill - the bridge. Bridges don't happen overnight, but students will learn the techniques to practice safely on their own after class time.
I was a competitive gymnast for over 10 years, and have coached gymnastics on and off for the last 8 years. It's something I love and am very passionate about! With the pandemic, I am not currently coaching in a gym, so I am so excited to get some stretching time with Learners on Outschool!
You will want to have space in your house on the floor where you have room to stretch and move without running into any furniture. Carpeting is fine, or if you have a hard floor I recommend laying down a yoga mat or gymnastics mat. Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in to class. Leggings or sweatpants are a great choice!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Gymnastics should be done in an open room with space to move around on the floor without running into any furniture. I suggest using a space that has carpeting, a gymnastics mat, or a yoga mat that isn't slippery. We will be discussing safe stretching and drills in class but encourage students to work at their own pace during class to prevent injury.
