Class Experience
In this one time class, students will have an opportunity to meet Ms. Kristin and get an idea of what ongoing piano lessons would be like. We will be using the Wunderkeys Older Beginner method book, but no book will be required for this trial lesson. If you choose to continue to the ongoing piano lessons, you will need to purchase the method book. Since this class has only one learner, Ms. Kristin will be very attentive to the needs and abilities of your child - the entirety of this lesson is interactive and can include annotating on the screen, if able. The structure of this class will include: - a quick guide to piano basics - learning a song right away to be successful! - learning the C Chord in the left hand and playing songs with both hands In order to be successful in this class, learners will need to have access to a keyboard with at least one octave (including black and white keys).

Hi! I'm Kristin.
I live in Indiana with my husband and two kids, ages 3 and 6 months.
I love to teach music classes to all ages, but I specialize in beginning piano students ages 5 - 13. I love helping students discover a love for music and there is nothing as rewarding as seeing pride on the faces of learners as they accomplish their goals and make beautiful music.
I have a Bachelor's in Music Education as well as teaching licenses in two states in the US. I have been teaching since 2013 - in middle school & high school classrooms (choir, piano, and general music), private voice and piano lessons online and in person, and a preschool music class.
I love to teach using modern methods, songs the learners love, and lots of composing our own music.
