Student will learn 4 new chords How to play the chords on the left hand How to play the melody on the right hand Joing both hands and introduction to the rythmic Student do not need to know how to read a music score to play this song. Students will be shown where to place their hands using multiple visuals. The entire class is given using 2 cameras which allows the students to see the teacher and her hands as well as a visual grid. The students will begin by learning one hand, than the other and finally join both. Teaching Style : Explicit teaching ( I do, we do , you do ) Students will all get a chance to show me how their progression is going. I ask students to mute themselves when I ask for a particular student to show me their progress. *Students taking part in this class should already know where the keys are on the piano. I suggest taking the ''Stand By Me'' lesson first as it is a bit easier and involves no black keys. This lesson (Dance Monkey) uses some of the black keys.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to play the pop song ''Dance Monkey'' by Tones and I on the piano by the end of the lesson. They will be taught the chords to play the song and the melody on the piano.
