Today, in the United States, acne is the most common skin condition. About 85 percent of teens experience some type of acne, from mild to severe. Not only can it cause severe skin damage, but it's effects on self-esteem can be long lasting too. Concepts covered in this class include: 1. What is Acne? 2. Why you shouldn't pop pimples 3. Contributing factors 4. Treatments Students will watch a series of short animated videos on acne and also on how to treat it. There will be a discussion time...
Many teens today are plagued by acne. As a nutritionist and mother of teens, I have seen how it can affect their self esteem and overall self image. However, through proper nutrition and skin care your acne can be a problem of the past!
3 files available upon enrollmentWe will be making this Lemon/Lavender Sugar Scrub at the end of class. Please have these ingredients with you. Sugar Olive oil Lavender Essential Oils All natural food Coloring (Optional) Measuring cups and spoons, bowl, spatula Pencil and paper for taking notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
