In this ongoing 50-minute Ballet class, students will work to strengthen their technique while simultaneously advancing with new steps which will then be added into a short combination. We will play instrumental versions of pop songs throughout the class. Students will warm-up, practice across-the-floor, and learn/review vocabulary related to the end of the class combination. Each week will feature a new dance combination. The general class structure is as follows: 10 Minutes: Introduction/Warm-Up/Stretch 10 Minutes: Across the Floor 5 Minutes: Overview of some moves/vocabulary 25 Minutes: Learn approximately 30-60 seconds of ballet choreography. At the end of class, we will have a final "performance" and students will pretend they are performing in a dance recital in their living room! Virtual Performing Arts Academy is a warm and welcoming performance studio. We strive to inspire all our students. We believe each of our students is a star! Teachers: This class is taught by either Miss. Aubrey or Ms. Kim.

Parental Guidance
As with any type of fitness activity, there is potential for injury. Students should have enough room to move around during class free from any furniture and other objects. They should wear comfortable clothing. They may wear closed-toed shoes (sneakers), dance shoes, or dance barefoot when appropriate.
