Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi. My name is Teacher Jackie. Welcome to my classroom! I'm here on Outschool to share my passion for Arts and Crafts.

A little about myself… My passion and love for arts and crafts started as a young child… I remember my mom caught me drawing on my bedroom wall with crayons. In those days, they did not have washable crayons! In elementary school I would often visit the library and pore over any art book I could find looking for inspiration on art projects that I could do at home.

At the time, it was discouraging in school because music and art always ended up on the lower end of the totem pole when it came to school budgets. I did however follow my dreams and obtained a degree in Fine Arts with a major in Art Education. I also have a TESOL certificate and I am currently an online ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher as well. I am so thankful that online teaching gives me the opportunity to teach from my home while connecting with amazing students around the world.

I have a lot to offer and would love to make art easily accessible to young people. Art can be so easily integrated in any subject. Math, science, history, writing, reading can all be learned through an art form.
I believe strongly in positive reinforcement and my goals as a teacher are to:
•	encourage creativity
•	explore art with children in an integral manner
•	and to have fun!

I can't wait to work with you and your child! Please don't hesitate to message me with any ideas for classes that you may want to see offered on this platform.
