Learn about Pop Art and Typography and create your own dramatic word art! - We will begin with a brief introduction to Pop Art looking at artists who use typography in their work such as Roy Lichtenstein. - Then we will look at different typography that are used to create a comic/pop style work. - We will discuss onomatopoeia and choose a word to use for our artwork. - Next, each student will draw their artwork with step by step instructions. *Please note - some students may need extra time after class to finish their work as there is extensive colouring in, but I am very happy to be messaged for help after!*
