Students will view examples of Oldenburg's gigantic food sculptures, discuss what Pop Art really is, and learn the difference between 2-D and 3-D art. We will also learn about the process and materials that Oldenburg uses to create his sculptures. We will then create our own breakfast buffet sculptures– pancakes, eggs, bacon, and...
Meeting 1: 1 Roll Toilet Paper (preferably fairly thick and without prominent patterns- NOT Cottonelle), wide bowl of water, 5 paper or plastic plates or trays to store wet sculptures Meeting 2: Sculptures from previous meeting, watercolor paints, medium size soft paint brush, water cup, plate or tray to mix paint colors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
