Class Experience
In this class, we will work together to learn the steps needed to create each portion of our adorable cake slices. Different camera views will be used to show each step of the way. As a class, we will condition, cut, roll and form our pieces. Then we will assemble our cake parts and get them prepared to be baked after class is over. The supplies are listed below and are necessary to complete the project. Note that the teacher will be using Polymer Clay, but Students may use whichever...
This class is taught in English.
Sculpting Medium (any brand/type you prefer. I like to use Sculpey Polymer Clay). Small rolling pin or smooth paintbrush handle A cutting tool (clay knife, clay slicer or blade) A wooden toothpick or pointy tool Clay colors: Any color combination you choose! Optional: Eye pins to turn into charms before baking Optional: Liquid Clay (liquid Sculpey) for “frosting” **Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You will bake after class. Parental help is necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
