Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Polymer Bake Clay (any brand you prefer. I use Sculpey) Basic Sculpting tools, toothpick, dotting tool (for eye sockets) A cutting tool (like a clay knife, anything that you are comfortable with using) A non stick surface to work on (You can cover a piece of cardboard with parchment paper and tape it to the bottom…that works) A small rolling pin or paintbrush handle or anything smooth to roll out small pieces of clay. Variety of colors of polymer clay (White for Snow People) Black acrylic paint or Permanent marker for personalization after baking Optional: Clear Gloss Glaze for after baking (I use Sculpey Gloss Glaze) Optional: Black GLASS beads for eyes (I use 6.0 round beads or Seed Beads)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
**Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F/130 °C, depending on your brand of clay). You may do this after class. Parental help is necessary.
