Class Experience

In this class, we will work together to learn the steps needed to create each portion of our adorable miniature Star Wars alien baby. Grogu, aka "Baby Yoda", aka "The Child". Different camera views will be used to show each step of the way. We will condition, cut, roll and form our pieces. Then we will assemble our body parts and get them prepared to be baked after class is over. I will go over how to convert our figurines into jewelry, which is an optional step the students can do. This class is taught in English.

Polymer Bake Clay (any brand you prefer, for reference I use Sculpey)
Basic Sculpting tools, toothpick, dotting tool (for eye sockets and texture)
A Baking sheet covered with parchment paper (don’t bake directly on it)
A cutting tool
A non stick surface to work on
A small rolling pin or paintbrush handle or anything smooth to roll out small pieces of clay. 
Variety of colors of polymer clay (light green, black, pink, brown, tan)

OPTIONAL:
Clear Polyurethane or glaze for after baking 
Eye pins (to turn into charms before baking)
Black GLASS beads for eyes 4mm size (otherwise black clay)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

**Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You may do this after class. Parental help is necessary.
