Class experience
This class is best for students who are already comfortable with using clay, as we move at a steady pace. In this class, we will work together to learn the steps needed to create each portion of our adorable miniature Axolotl Dragons. Different camera views will be used to show each step of the way. This class is taught in English.
Sculpting Medium (any brand/type you prefer. I like to use Sculpey Polymer Clay). *A little clay goes a LONG way in miniature sculpting! Basic Sculpting tools, toothpick, smoothing tool, A cutting tool (clay knife, blade, anything that you are comfortable with using) A non stick surface to work on (You can cover a piece of cardboard with parchment paper and tape it to the bottom…that works) A small rolling pin Wooden toothpicks (cut in half) or small pieces of sculpting/jewelry wire Variety of colors of clay (I used white, pale pink, darker pink) Black clay or glass seed beads for eyes
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be using a cutting tool. Please go over blade safety. Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You will bake after class. Parental help is necessary.
