Description
Class Experience
Students will be introduced to several nail design techniques using household items to achieve the design while being encouraged to explore their creativity and make the design their own.
Trained Nail Technician.
There will not be homework, but an optional nail design practice worksheet will be provided if the student wants to practice a technique outside of class time.
1 file available upon enrollmentDay 1: Waterless Manicure: nail file, polish remover (if needed,) lotion, base (clear) coat, favorite color of polish, top coat, soft washcloth or cotton ball, (optional) cuticle oil. Any of the steps are optional, but we will go over base-color-top coat application during the class, although students don't have to do all 3 steps if they don't have the materials. Day 2: Rainbow Dot Design: 3 colors of polish, white polish, back of watercolor paint brush or dotting tool of similiar size, small square of tin foil. Day 3: Frosting Design: an all over polish color, white polish (frosting), 1-2 colors of polish for the sprinkles, small square of tin foil, toothpick (or similar size dotting tool), back of watercolor paint brush (or dotting tool of similar size.) Day 4: Emoji Face Design: an all over polish color, a color for your emoji's face, black polish, white polish, red or pink polish (optional), a dotting tool or Qtip and toothpick, small square of tin foil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
It is advised, as with any cosmetics, that parents are aware of any allergies associated with any nail polish ingredients before using the nail polish.
