2 in-class hoursClass Experience
This 4 class series begins with the how-to of a waterless manicure followed by 3 weeks of perfectly themed Halloween nail art for holiday fun the whole month! See below for the class schedule and supplies we will be using. The supplies we will be using to create the nail art are all household items, with no specialty tools required. The weeks progress in skill level as we build up techniques, although each week is easily broken down into step by step instructions and all are beginner friendly. Please have supplies set up before class begins each week and have nails ready to be painted on. (Please have any previous nail polish removed before class begins.) Week 1: Waterless Manicure (a nail file, a base coat, your favorite Halloween colored polish, top coat, cotton balls, anything wanted to protect work surface.) (If a student doesn't have all of the supplies for all the steps that is okay! We will just go over the steps and they can use the supplies they do have.) Week 2: Spooky Eyes (an all over base color (I used black in the example), white polish, a toothpick, a small square of tin foil.) Week 3: Cute Monster ( a base color of polish (I used pink in the example), black or a dark color of polish, white polish, a toothpick, the back of a watercolor paintbrush or something similar in size, a small square of tin foil.) Week 4: Mummy (black polish, white polish, red polish, watercolor size paintbrush, a toothpick, a small square of tin foil.)
Learning Goals
Students will learn a technique for a smooth coat of polish, three nail art designs, steps for a basic manicure and basic nail care.
