Join Ms. Lee's bilingual story time in Japanese/English and learn to write some simple Japanese words from the story. Students then learn to draw Polar Bear stroke by stroke. Non-native learners are welcome.

In this bilingual story time art class, we will read the beloved Japanese classic "Polar Bear's Pancakes" or "しろくまちゃんのほっとけーき" -- a tale about a little bear learning to make its own pancakes. The book is in Japanese and I will provide translation in English so that even new learners can follow the story line. Following the storytelling, we will highlight some Japanese words from the story and learn their strokes. Children will learn to draw Polar Bear and its pancakes following simple instructions on screen. Parents are welcome to attend alongside younger learners.

Letter-sized paper, eraser, pencils, crayons, color pencils or markers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
