Class Experience

Students will write an informational writing piece in which they introduce the topic, add details about the topic,  and provide some sense of closure. The students will learn how to complete this task step by step. 
I am a National Board Certified Teacher with years of experience in the area of writer's workshop. Throughout my teacher career, I have participated in many writing workshops and professional learning communities. Also, for the past 19 years, I have taught explicit writing lessons to students daily. Using different writing strategies, teacher models, and different mentor text, I have watched many students excel in writing. 
There will not be any homework.

Assessment will be ongoing throughout the lesson. 
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
