In this course, informational writing will be taught. The students will learn how to use the writing process to complete an informational writing piece. Students will write an informational writing piece in which they introduce the topic, add details about the topic, and provide some sense of closure. The students will learn how to complete this task step by step.
I am a National Board Certified Teacher with years of experience in the area of writer's workshop. Throughout my teacher career, I have participated in many writing workshops and professional learning communities. Also, for the past 19 years, I have taught explicit writing lessons to students daily. Using different writing strategies, teacher models, and different mentor text, I have watched many students excel in writing.
