Do you ever wonder where Pokémon regions got their influence? In this class we will explore and learn about three different real life places and their culture and about the real life country. By learning about these real life places current history and culture we can then see the influence of them in different forms of Pokémon, whether that be in a video game, TV show or a Pokémon itself! These places will include: Johto Region (Real Life Inspiration: Japan’s Kansai Region) Galar Region (Real Life Inspiration: UK) Alola Region (Real Life Inspiration: Hawaii) First Day: Johto Region. Second Day: Galar Region Third Day: Alola Region No required knowledge, but always welcome!
Learning Goals
By the end of this course, student(s) should be able to connect the real life regions connection to Pokémon, today.
