What will be Taught? Students will be taught about a relationship between physical traits of Saw Palmettos, and common animal behaviors. What topics will we cover? Exciting topics await our fantastic Pokémon Trainers about Saw Palmettos physical traits and animal behavior. How is class structured? To uphold standards from the Pokémon League, class management will be structured around respect for others choice of animal or Pokémon. Expectations for questions is to raise their hand clicking the “Raise Hand” icon. How will I teach? I will teach with the 5-e model to: Engage with presentation through discussion on group chat and call on. Explore a Saw Palmettos habitat with a video clip. Explain how common animals behave to survive inside the Saw Palmetto with words or illustrations. Evaluate common animal behavior to survive in the Saw Palmetto with factual evidence. Extend our knowledge of these animals to Pokémon with a ‘question & answer’ game. Prior knowledge: Drawing & labeling above 5th grade level science terms
