An exploration of the origins and mythology of Halloween, using the Ghosts, Ghouls, and Jack-o-Lanterns from the Pokemon anime. We'll compare and contrast these spooky Pokemon with their historic inspirations from Celtic and Irish folklore.

Class Experience
IMPORTANT: Due to low enrollments in the live classes, I encourage you to consider taking the “flex” version of this class. It contains the same content and can be taken on a flexible schedule. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please keep in mind that Pokemon "ghost types" are indeed creepy, and of course Halloween themes and origins involve the talk of death and evil spirits. Because of this creepy Halloween theme, the class may still disturb some children.
