In this course students will draw and learn art techniques while learning about different Pokémon. We will also learn about which animal inspired different Pokémon.

Class Experience

Each week a new Pokémon character is talked about in detail. Pokémon fans will share their toys, clothes, and other collections they may have. Pokémon fans then play a trivia game about the Pokémon of the week and then learn fun facts about that character, including which real-life animal inspired the creation of that Pokémon. (For example, the famous little yellow Pokémon, Pikachu, is based on the real-life Pika rodent that is found in Asia and North America) We will watch a short video of...

-Listening skills - Shading skills -Building confidence

I am a qualified teacher in animation, graphic design and game design. Character design is the best way to begin in this industry, you need a character to create a story.

- several sheets of blank paper (no lines)
- pencil
- pencil sharpener
- set of colouring items (crayons, markers, or coloured pencils)

Weekly schedule:
It has become more of a surprise for students to find out the Pokémon of the week during class time. Therefore, I keep the Pokémon of the week a surprise.
