Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 5
I’m this one-time, Pokémon themed class students will learn about nuclear energy and radioactivity. This class will cover:

- nuclear fission
- nuclear fusion
- what is radioactivity?
- alpha decay, beta decay and gamma decay
- half-life
- why is radiation dangerous?

I’ll also talk about examples and practical applications. We’ll play three interactive Pokémon quiz games that will test students on the material.

The format of this class is a mix of lecture and presentation. Students should have taken my class Pokémon Chemistry: Introduction to Atoms, Elements and Molecules or be familiar with atoms and know what an isotope is. I also recommend for students to have taken my Pokémon Physics classes on forces and work or know what force and energy are.
