Description
Class Experience
Learning how to break characters down into recognizable shapes Learn basic drawing skills like: outlining, visual texture, proportions, facial features that are expressive Learning to have fun with new kids they meet in class
When I started The Painting Panda Classroom, I want to offer a variety of art classes, to many different ages of all children. My boys love LOVE love pokemon, and we've been learning to draw them, play the games, watch the shows, and follow Ash and his friends as they become pokemon trainers for a few years now. I'm so excited to offer a class where we can all learn to draw our favorite characters, and find out how to draw in different techniques as well. As mentioned in my teacher profile I have 10 years of experience teaching early education pre-K classes, in both North Carolina and Utah. I have been able to use my degrees in Visual Arts with a focus on Art History from NCSU and my Associate in Arts from Wake Tech Community College, to teach kids and adults: various art classes here in North Carolina for the past 7 years. With my scouting connections I have had 5 years experience teaching science and history classes in North Carolina and Florida. Whether it was as a Co-Op teacher for my local home school groups, Art merit Badge Counselor for the local Boy Scout clinic, teaching STEAM classes for Cub Scouts, Nail art and Jewelry Crafting to teenage girls in my church, or summer art classes through my business, The Painting Panda, I love being able to share what I have learned!

35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents are welcome to help students during class, but need to be off screen during the class duration, as a safety policy Outschool asks teachers to enforce. Parents for the SAFETY of our students (your learners) please allow them to have access to a working web camera when taking this class. I need to visually see or hear that there is a student taking my class or the account without one will be kicked out of class, and sent to Outschool support. For more info on this, please see the parent FAQ posted on the Outschool website. If this is your learner's first Outschool class I recommend getting familiar with the Zoom interface and platform before the class starts. Outschool has a few articles and videos that can help. Unfortunately I am really unable to deal with any technical issues once class has begun and if you are experiencing issues, it's best to contact technical support at Outschool directly via the HELP tab on the website. https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/2133758-live-class-troubleshooting-tips-for-parents https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/802757-tips-for-your-first-outschool-class
