I have been playing poker since I was very young -- penny ante games at family gatherings. I have played poker in casinos, clubs, and homes for many years. I have studied books about poker by Phil Helmuth, Dan Harrington, and others.
Homework will be for the learner to determine. They may want to practice the concepts we have discussed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will assess themselves through reflection and self-evaluation.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Poker is a gambling game and some families may not feel it is appropriate.
There will be poker books referenced, but none are required for the class.
