Learners will develop the skills they need when preparing for kindergarten that are not limited to academics (following directions, being positive, taking turns, being kind, being respectful, listening to adults, listening to others).
I have experience leading physical programs for children in a public and school library setting as well as experience with early literacy.
Homework includes but is not limited to reading books with your family!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be no assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class includes stretching and physical movement so please encourage your child to stretch prior to the class to ensure safety and to ensure that your child does not pull any muscles or suffers any injuries. Also, while this class is not strenuous with physical activity, please provide water close by to stay hydrated! Lastly, please participate in a more open space so that the child can stretch his or her arms out wide and jump or run in place when prompted.
