US Grade 2 - 4
In this Pokemon themed class, students will learn: - What is gravity? - Who discovered it? - Mass vs. weight - Do objects of different masses fall at the same rate? - Why do things fall differently on the moon? There will be two Pokemon themed games during the class that will quiz students on what they have learned. The format will be a combination of lecture and presentation. A couple of short 1-2 minute videos will be shown, for example one of a NASA astronaut dropping a hammer and a feather on the moon. I am a Chemical Engineer.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University
Hi! I am excited to offer classes in math and science. I have two Bachelor of Science degrees from The Ohio State University. My first degree is in Environmental Science and my second degree is in Chemical Engineering. I have three kiddos between the ages of 3 and 10. We love Pokémon and traveling. A fun fact about me is I am a certified scuba diver!
My goals are to engage students and to facilitate interest in math and science. I will use experiments and examples to help students understand concepts, rather than just memorizing terms and formulas.
