1-2 hours per week. Final paragraphs will be submitted via the Classroom and/or Teacher communication section within our classroom. Teacher review of written work is submitted to learners by Sunday on all written work submitted the prior Friday.

This class employs the use of Modeled Writing. Modeled writing provides real-world writing explanations for learners by demonstrating how writers actually go about constructing texts. This class is appropriate for CEFR: A2, B1, B2, C1, C2.

This class is a great fit for Pokemon-Fan, an emerging and/or reluctant writer and an emerging confident writer. Prior knowledge of paragraph writing is helpful but unnecessary, as we will work on these skills in our sessions.

Outschoolers receive individualized feedback to motivate their learners to enjoy the writing process. I review submitted work 3x a week. This class employs the use of a writing rubric. This non-graded sheet gives your writer a complete understanding of their writing with both visual and written indications. Learning Goals
Students will learn to write four paragraph styles using Pokémon-themed prompts to engage their creativity and interest.
Students will develop their descriptive writing skills by creating vivid and detailed descriptions of Pokémon characters and settings, ensuring paragraphs are descriptive.

Writing Prompt #1; Craft a Pokemon
 Learn about Bold Beginnings, 6 supporting sentences and an awesome conclusion. The basic paragraph format - Pokemon Style! 
Lesson 2:
Adjectives - Tell me three!
 Let's talk about adjectives today. That is just a fancy word for describing something. 🧐 We do it every day!  & Submit draft 
Lesson 3:
🚨Pokemon Alert🚨
 Our ultra-rare Pokemon need a trading card! 
Lesson 4:
Wrap up your writing
 Submit final paragraph

By tapping into your learner's Pokemon enthusiasm, they are active and engaged in their learning process. I have taught over 4,000 Outschool students, and logged more than 800 Outschool teaching hours, in engaging, educational, and inspiring themed English Language courses. I am a certified Tennessee K-6th grade teacher. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English, Communications, and Print Media.
