In this one-time class students will take turns playing a Pokemon memory math game which will provide an introduction into correct pronunciation of fractions (e.g. one half, three fourths etc.),learning about fraction pies as well as how to understand them and the basic parts of a fraction. Students will learn how to correctly pronounce/identify fractions, read fraction pies and learn the basic parts of a fraction while also flexing their memory muscles. They will learn how to encourage each other and how to participate in team based problem solving.
