Mission: Welcome Pokemon Math Ninjas! The Master Nija Dojo needs your help! Team Rocket has stolen 4 of the Dojo's legendary Pokemon. Earn your spot by completing 6 Pokemon challenges, and recapturing all of the missing Pokemon before time runs out! This class will be highly interactive, and encourage team work and learned participation, using a 360° media environment. Learners will collect Pokemon cards to complete their mission and escape in the end. Sample Puzzles: Creating Max Soup: In order to unlock your ninja powers, you will need to unlock Max Mushrooms to make Max soup, using basic fractions to complete a recipe. Overall, all escape room challenges will develop basic math and reading comprehension skills as they will read maps, problem solve and decipher codes. Other challenges will range from jigsaw puzzles, a maze, and decoding ciphers and numbers. Learners will also learn team building skills as they work with other math ninjas, as part of their challenges. As this class is intended for learners under 13, parental consent will be required to use the virtual room on their own. However, younger students will not access the room by themselves, as it will be shared on the screen by the instructor. Some of the puzzles will vary in difficulty, but the game will be modified based on the age group of the students! Therefore, learners will need to have a virtual or printed copy of the game kit to follow along with each challenge. While this is a Pokemon themed room, previous knowledge of Pokemon is not required of this class. This class is also available for private birthday events. Please reach out for more information on that.

COPPA Policy for Thinklink:
Safety and privacy are our top priorities. Learners under 13 will need to have Parental Consent when accessing those links on Youtube to comply with COPPA.
Students will be provided with a direct code to access the game link, and will bypass any registration or sign-ins for Thinklink as I have a Professional Teacher License through the service to use the platform as a teaching tool. Therefore, learners will not need to provide any information or sign up for the platform themselves. In fact, students will be provided with a link that restricts them from having to share any personal information or sign in, as the game will appear on their screen without an interface. However, parental consent will be required to comply with COPPA. As per the terms of usage, all students accessing the Service are subject to consent provided via their educator or educational institution, as allowed under COPPA, and will require the use of a unique invitation code supplied by their instructor or education institution in order to create an account or access the platform. Any use or access to the Service by anyone under 13 without Consent, is strictly prohibited and in violation of this Agreement.

Greetings Outschool Family!
My name is Dwitney Bethel! I would describe myself as a vivacious and effervescent free spirit! I am originally from Nassau, Bahamas, but I consider myself a North American, as I spent nearly a decade in both the United States and Canada respectively. Although, of all of the places I have either lived or traveled through, my favorite is by far Japan! There is something timeless and magical about a place that embodies both the past and future at the same time.
I offer both private and public sessions! So if you are looking for afterschool programs, birthday games, or private sessions, feel free to message me with your inquiry.
In terms of my personal experiences, I have a background in History, Creative Writing, and Globalization Studies. I have a Bachelor of Honours in History and Development Studies, an M.A. in Public History, as well as an M.A. in Globalization Studies. I worked as a teaching assistant throughout my graduate studies, and mentored ESL students as well! I had always imagined myself teaching English abroad until I made the decision to become an entrepreneur and work for myself! I recently graduated from a Business and Entrepreneurship program, as I wanted to become a business owner and start my own company. My company offers team building games as well as heritage, tourism and cultural experiences, and that is what I hope to bring here! Therefore, I will offer an array of courses in the upcoming weeks from a very interdisciplinary perspective! I will bring gameshow style classes to traditional subjects such as history, global politics, geography, and anthropology.
I also hope to have some creative writing and book club combination courses dealing with subjects such as Immigration, Minority Studies and Feminine Identity using historical fiction for middle school and young adults. I will also feature some interactive escape room and thriller mystery games sets as well!
I was never a student who could fit into one discipline, as I just had a love and interest in almost everything! Interdisciplinary studies changed my life, and that is the approach I hope to bring here! I hope I can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
