Does your child love Pokemon but need extra practice with regrouping? This class will incorporate their favorite characters into a math lesson focused on adding numbers. We will use the HP and damage values of different Pokemon throughout class, as well as Pikachu counters. I will briefly show students how to add two- and three-digit numbers with regrouping, and then we will work on solving several problems together. This class is appropriate for students in second or third grade. They should already know how to count and identify numbers to 200, as well as how to add two- and three-digit numbers without regrouping.

Students will learn how to add two- and three-digit numbers with regrouping.

Supply List
-Whiteboard and marker OR paper and pencil -One Pokemon card or toy to share at the end of class -Extra Pokemon cards to use during class (optional)
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
