Class Experience

This class will cover tips and tricks for getting ahead in Pokemon Go. I will discuss any updates that have been released since our last session, which current raid bosses are available and the best pokemon to defeat them, as well as give opportunities for students to practice battles with each other.

With my guidance, the students will create friendships and practice socioemotional skills such as listening/paying attention, pride in accomplishments, and empathy for others.

I will share my screen on my secondary device so that students can follow along on their own devices.

Each class will begin with an infographic describing any new challenges, raid bosses or new Pokemon that have been released since the last session. Next, I will give students the opportunity to share friend codes with one another. During the remaining time, I will help students to send gifts, set up battles, join raids (if they already have remote raid passes) and catch pokemon. Students will be encouraged to discuss their catches and any accomplishments they've had in the game. When students are discouraged by losses or missed opportunities, I will model empathetic language.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm a homeschool mother of 5 who studied elementary education. I'm excited to bring my experience and knowledge to every class. My classes include a range of topics from Black History to Recycled Art to comparing books to the movies they've inspired and so much more! I enjoy seeing my students light up as they learn concepts and ideas that are new to them.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing Pokemon with my kids and baking!
