Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome to your Pokemon art class! Every week we draw a brand-new character (see schedule below for specifics,) while discussing different theories of art for each; linework, shading, background, perspective, depth, realism, etc. If time permits students will be able to color their masterpiece. We also make sure we have time to show off our artwork at the end of each class.
I am a huge proponent of showing children the good in their masterpieces, and building up their confidence in their art! This is a great opportunity for your child(ren) to make new friends with similar interests, to discuss with us Pokemon theories and their favorite Pokemon things, and improve their drawing skills.
Please be sure to bring with you a paper, pencil, eraser (we'll be making a lot of mistakes while drawing and that's OK!) and your favorite drawing utensils to color with!

Here is our schedule of our characters:

Hey there! My name is Alyssa Ahmann, welcome! I have been teaching on Outschool for nearly 4 years now
(See my coding with Scratch classes I teach with CrazyKidz https://outschool.com/teach?signup=true&usid=O6qkJXAA&utm_campaign=share_invite_link&teacherReferral=true)

I LOVE teaching and being present for your little ones. I teach both art classes and coding classes and love every minute of it. I have both a Bachelor's and Associate's degree of Science and Humanities. I will be pursuing both my Masters and Doctorate degrees in Bioarchaeology and am excited for the adventure!

When teaching, I value being present in the moment, and teaching with the most patience I possibly can. I understand that children are learning and growing in this new world just like we are, and they deserve the most patience and respect possible.

I am recently married to my husband this May (maiden name Harris,) and I have two dogs, all three of which I absolutely adore. I love teaching with Outschool and am planning to be around for a long time.
