Class Experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is a private one-on-one Pokémon art class where your learner can pick any Pokémon to draw! Please send me your learner's choice before class and I will provide step-by-step directions during class. Depending on the complexity, we may have time for 1-2 drawings, so you can send a second choice. (The choice does not have to be limited to those pictured in my class image.) I will have two screens visible so that your learner can see me drawing, as well as speaking. This will allow your learner to follow along with my live instructions. I break each step down, so artists of all levels are welcome! Students can replicate my creation or add their own unique elements, with some ideas discussed as we create. Learners will need paper, a pencil, and an eraser. We also may have time to color in the drawing. Sibling discount—Please contact me if you’d like to add one additional sibling or friend free of charge. Each additional student is only $5!
Learning Goals
Students will be encouraged to practice and enjoy art.
Students will improve their drawing skills by breaking the image down into small, manageable stps.

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼! My name is Colleen, or Mrs. Smith, and I am excited to work with your student in my online classroom! I have been teaching on Outschool since September 2021 and am thrilled to continue this journey.
My Outschool offerings encompass two distinctive fields:
1) 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀: I was a commercial banker for three years and enjoyed a ten-year corporate buying career. During that time, I had the opportunity to train many people on using Microsoft Excel and other relevant programs. I was also able to volunteer in a high school classroom, teaching financial literacy to students. For the past 3+ year, I have been teaching these skills and concepts to students on Outschool. It is such a pleasure to see students master these important life skills.
2) 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗸é𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀: As a child, my favorite subject was art, and I continued taking art classes in college and as an adult. My own children, aged 9, 6, and 4 years, share my love of art, and for the past four years, I have enjoyed staying at home with my them. Their specific interests are Pokémon and animals, and in turn I have a true appreciation for these subjects!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲?
My classes are very interactive, with many opportunities for participation. However, I understand that some learners prefer to listen. I am always willing to adjust my classes to fit everyone's needs. My classes will always have real-life examples that are relatable to students. I want students to be happy with their work and interested in what they're learning, so questions and sharing are welcome and encouraged!
