Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 2
Students will first learn about matter and it's three states: solids, liquids, and gases. They will also learn about melting point and boiling point. There will be two parts to the class. During the first part of the class I will explain the concepts using visual aids and examples. This first part will be in the form of a discussion. For example, I will talk about the properties of liquids and show them water. Then I will ask students to tell me other examples of liquids. During the second part of the class students will join me, Charmander and Vulpix on a Pokemon adventure. There is a sick Eevee at the Pokecenter in Jacksonville and we need to take it medicine! But there are obstacles along the way and we'll need to use what we've learned to get past them. This part will be in the form of me telling an interactive story using PowerPoint to show pictures.

My teaching style is interactive and engaging. I use examples and aim to help students understand concepts rather than just memorizing terms and formulas.

No previous knowledge is required. I will be fully explaining all of the concepts.
