Pokemon Chemistry 1

Students will learn Chemistry in this 4-week, Pokemon themed class.

Week one: States of matter (solids, liquids, gases and transitions)
Week two: Atoms and periodic table groups
Week three: Mixtures
Week four: Review and quiz games.

The format is a mix of lecture and presentation. 

The classes are interactive and I will ask students questions during the lessons. Each class includes Pokemon quiz games to reinforce the information that students have learned. 

This course is a Pokemon themed course. All of the quiz games we play incorporate Pokemon. For example, one game has nine Pokeballs and students have to correctly answer questions in order to see what Pokemon are inside. I also weave Pokemon into the material as I can, although the content is not saturated with Pokemon. For example, I have a Pokemon picture on each element on the periodic table to help students remember abbreviations. Iron is Fe, so there is a picture of a Fenniken.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
