Description

Class Experience

Learners will learn to enjoy writing with the help of their favorite Pokemon Cards. They will learn creative writing and essay techniques. Learners will not be graded on their writing skills. Instead, the purpose of this class is to let them dip their toes into writing and have fun.
I received my minor in creative writing from Indiana University Northwest. During my time there, I took many writing workshops and honed my skills. Several of my short stories have been published in independent zines. I also have experience with writing and revising a novel. I have experience in the publishing industry.
Learners will work on their short stories and essays in class. Their writing should be roughly around 50-100 words. Learners can either write their stories on paper or type them on the computer. If they don't finish in class, it will be homework. They will need to send a picture of their paper or a link to their paper in the classroom tab before the next class starts.
-Learners will need something to write their stories/essays on during class. This can be paper or on the computer. -It is highly recommended that learners bring their Pokemon Cards to class, but if they don't have any, I will provide some cards they can use.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Pokemon has mild fantasy violence as Pokemon battle each other. Sometimes learners may write about these battles.
