So you want to know why I am the best candidate to teach your student before you make this large financial commitment right? Have no fear and read my background below! I graduated with a B.S.E in Mechanical Engineering (ABET Accredited). I am an EDTPA certified teacher with a MAT in Secondary Education-STEM. Furthermore, I am GACE certified in Secondary Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering Technology Education. I have taught 6th-12th Math, Physics, and Engineering in public schools. All this means that I know Math, Physics, and Engineering pretty well :) My teaching style embodies the words of Ms. Frizzle, "Take chances! Make mistakes! Get Messy!" I encourage my students to embrace mistakes and failure as integral parts of the learning process because we learn more from our mistakes than we do our successes. Furthermore, we need to encourage students to be comfortable with failure because it instills resiliency and persistence! I love anime, video games, working out, and my pet cat Cracky. Students will need a printer for the Pokemon themed templates that I will provide. I will upload the templates on my classroom page. Here is a list of the items that will be needed for the project: -Glue/Glue Sticks -Scissors -Crayons -Colored Pencils -Markers -Pencils
Parents! Scissors and glue will be required for some of the activities in this course! I will go over safety protocol with the students prior to the activities when I go over classroom expectations!
