Rattlesnakes are the beautiful but deadly icon of the Wild West. Through tales of my own close encounters, and through interactive games ,we will discover the world of Rattlesnakes. Prepare to discover: Which are the most dangerous? Can you avoid a bite? How will you survive if you are bitten? Come learn the sophisticated technologies these snakes employ to target and kill their prey. Watch handlers "milk" snakes for their venom. Discover some other surprising varieties of poisonous snakes...
This class is taught in English.
Students have fun and play interactive games in class. Define Endotherm ( cold blooded) Define hemotoxin Students can identify poisonous snakes and differentiate from harmless snakes. Students know how to properly respond to a snake bite in the back country or their backyard Students mind is blown by the complex and astounding science of these deadly hunters.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
