Pointe Ballet Class
Class experience
CLASS STRUCTURE: We will start by working on detail and gaining strength using the barre. We will strengthen the muscles around the foot and lower leg in order to ensure support and correct form and alignment while en pointe. If you don't have a barre you can use a wall/ chair/ any piece of furniture around waist-height, accessible in your home. We will work on musicality, strength, clarity and a more complex understanding of ballet vocabulary. In the end we will move away from the barre and...
Students will work on discipline, strength, stability and body coordination using the structure of ballet technique while en pointe.

-Pointe shoes or ballet flats -Comfortable clothing -Ballet barre (If you don't have a barre you can use a wall/ chair/ any piece of furniture around waist-height, accessible in your home) -Students might also need a water bottle if desirable
Just a few logistics before we get started: It is nice to join the zoom meeting a few minutes early (if possible, otherwise no worries) so that I can help you with your setup. Just make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes (if you have ballet attire, that's great, but if not that is totally fine) and your pointe shoes. Find a room with some space to move and flooring appropriate for pointe shoes (wood usually works best or if you have a marley panel even better) and place your device on the floor so I can see your full body as you are moving. After the class ends, the student might want to take a few minutes to stretch (I will provide the learners different stretching options if they need) and cool down in order to prevent future injuries. Other than that you are all set and ready to get moving!
