As a poet myself I have about 15 years of experience with writing poetry. I have taken many workshops over the years to perfect my craft. I have taught children from the ages 9 - 16 years old about all writing forms including poetry.
Students will need to work on their poems outside of class if they do not finish them while in class. Students may want to also practice reciting their poems in preparation for class time.
Students will need to bring a notebook, journal, or a piece of paper to class as well as a pen or pencil.
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
