Description
Class Experience
Students will read an Acrostic, Cinquain, Haiku, Limmerick poem, write a sample in class, and publish their own poems in a poetry notebook. Students will gain an appreciation of different forms of poetry.
Students will publish their own poems in their poetry notebook after each class.
Spiral Notebook pencil
Students will publish their own samples of poems in each category and be prepared to share them with the class. Peers and teacher will offer words of encouragement and appreciation.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
