In this 2-day class, learners will study three works of Maya Angelou, analyze her poetry, and write 2 poems in her style.#academic

US Grade 4 - 7
Interpretation skills of the poetry in the style of Maya Angelou
Writing poems in the style of Maya Angelou
Poetry vocabulary and experimenting with the  usage of precise vocabulary terms (Please see above.)
Editing and revising skills
Usage of powerfully chosen vocabulary






Homework Offered
There will be small amount of homework to complete the two poems , one each between classes. Students will also have the opportunity to edit and revise with the instructor, depending on size of class, in the actual class or at additional (price included ) times.

A learner packet will be sent to each enrolled student a few days prior to the class.  
Students are asked to locate and print the three following poems to bring to class.
