Description
Class Experience
Learning Goals Students will be provided with the opportunity to learn or practice various parts of speech and literary devices. Once the parts of speech and literary devices has been presented to the student, they will have the opportunity to practice using the skills taught in the creation of their own original poem. The objectives are: 1. Introduce the learner to the formula style of poetry. 2. Define the parts of speech which will be integrated into a poem. 3. Define the literary devices which will be integrated into a poem. 4. Demonstrate how to incorporate the parts of speech and literary devices into a poem. 5. Provide the learner with the opportunity to practice skills taught while creating an original poem.
