Description

Class Experience

Learners will finish the workshop feeing more confident in their poetry knowledge and will have gained lots of practice creating their own poems!
I have worked abroad helping teenagers to brainstorm and improve their writing. I currently enjoy blogging, writing stories, and helping elementary school students enjoy writing more. This past year I was asked twice to write and present a poem for special events. I have held several creative writing workshops over zoom for young people and enjoy creative writing as a personal hobby.
Learners will be encouraged to either finish the poem they started in class or to write a new poem based on the new poetic forms learned that day.
Learners will need something to write on (paper and pencil/pen or electronic device are all acceptable).
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
